Sadly, that's something that will always happen.
To be honest, I received the script for this work in July, however I had just started to work on a 250p+ project hence I decided to finish it first, before moving to this work. When I was done, I knew that a translation had been released in the meantime. At that point, I could have decided to edit something else, for sure. But I really liked this translation hence I decided to not waste it and edit it.

If a work has already a translation (MTL or not), most groups / translators will ignore it and focus on something else. This work however was released pretty recently (2024) and the situation is simply that two groups were working on it at the same time, without being aware of each other. And as I said before, I liked the script that I received. This is why I still decided to edit it and not waste it.
Also, I don't think it's a good idea for you to use this situation in order to try and defend MTLs by the way... After all, this translation was made by using EH's bounty system - a system that anyone can use in order to look for a translator or/and an editor instead of simply going for a MTL.

its kinda sad that translators would have the same translated works sometimes, Kataku would translate ch.2 also iirc so it would be 2 works duplicated, coulda been better to translate other works but I guess it is what it is

@nalor And if you took 2 minutes to read the translator comment you would know he got this one to translate at the same time as the other group, he just took longer to release, so yes, MTL is still lowering the chances for a work to get a proper translation

About the manga, it was very hot, i'm looking forward to the sequel, it's rare to see a Father x Daughter doujinshi that is neither rape nor ugly bastard, so this one is welcomed indeed, i hope there is a lot of chapters
