JP artists always get spooked whenever Nintendo or another big JP entertainment copyright holder makes a move in Japanese courts related to their draconian IP/copyright laws. Technically all parodies are illegal under JP copyright law (neither JP statutes nor common law/court precedent contain "fair use" or "parody" protections), but doujinshi is permitted to exist under a sort of unspoken/barely acknowledged "gentlemans agreement" between industry and fans ("as long as you don't make a profit from your fan-works, we won't sue you.") That's why doujin works are still so cheap at Comiket, for example. They are only allowed to make enough to pay for the production materials (i.e. the printed book itself from the print shop). No profit.

But this still leaves room to get spooked, as we see here.
