Rare Flying Witch doujin. I wish there was a second season. But sales are so weak. This is one example where the anime adaptation is better than the manga source. The background environment is beautiful. The voice, sound, and music enhance the experience. I tried to read the manga expecting a similar feel to Yotsuba!, but without music and voice, it feels boring. I know slice-of-life stories tend to be boring for most people, but with proper setup, it's just really relaxing to watch/read slice-of-life.
@goldenshower, I dunno man, I felt that the anime kept subtly cutting out any scenes that implied there was a story at all. The manga develops into a plot where, by happenstance, Makoto slowly breaks down the barrier between humans and the magical world, but with those scenes removed from the anime all you're left with is mundane spectacle.

Great job. I hope the author's other Flying Witch doujin will get scanned eventually. His works have a good energy (even if sometimes a bit hard to follow).
@maxnii-san, agreed, follwed along with manga and when anime hit, besides hoping for more sister fan service, it left alot out even when only 6? volumes were released, felt more like a slice of life semi rushed time filler project for said network than any building of overall story
Gah I love this art style but it's so DENSE. If it wasn't trapped by the limitations of physical doujinshi printing, the sheer quantity of poses and angles and sequences could easily be decompressed to triple the page count.

@Snittzi I agree, this artist has a very busy style. But between this and Yahari doujins, I like how they keep everything close to the actual characters' personalities.
