A collection of film negatives of photographs of cels used during the production of Mobile Suit Gundam (1979 - 1980). These are a unique collection of items given to me by M, who owns several documents like so used by both Sotsu and Sunrise equally. These were strictly internal and were more than likely photographed for publication purposes. I initially thought that these were for the cel photographers to reference, but there is no cut bags or information with them. They were wrapped in aged paper and taped, and the cels are incongruent with actual production timelines and are all over the place. Included are the original film strips and the negatives edited to what they looked like - for some reason, they were shot in black and white, which makes me think they were for printing in books, magazines, etc. I am still waiting on M to give me more information if he can, but until then, that is what I can deduce.

These film scans smell how they should, showing their age, which gives them some credibility, and thankfully, they were not rotting at all as M took very good care of them in climate control. Otherwise, they show the organization of the character art and how these cels actually look - feel free to use them for reference; I have never seen any of them go to auction ever sans for the Adzam.

All have been scanned in at 600 DPI and edited with Photoshop for the reverse etc. on a film scanner.
