I appreciate admitting that ir's MTL and the willingness to delete the gallery if a proper translation comes out. The fact that you can't is indeed shitty, and 'there is a non-MTL translation' should be a very valid reason to expunge a gallery.

That being said, the font is so bad it hurts my eyes.

While AI translation still certainly has it's flaws it's better than old school MTL and it's still nice to know WTF the story is and since most half decent AI's cost money this saves time and effort for those that want ANY kind of translation.

Besides to be frank people need to stop pretending everything is on the verge of getting a high quality fan translation.

Far more stuff is produced than fan translators have time for, so having some means of understanding it is better than having NOTHING at all.

THe fact he's willing to try to delete it (and if he can't he can child to parent link ot or at least put the link in the description) just in case anyone actually bothers to translate this properly shows he's not doing this to push out people that put effort into this.

Although honestly the shitty font you used could debatably be used as justification to replace with another translation. I know higher quality image galleries replace lower quality ones. NOt sure if you used a bad font for that reason or if just turned out that way ... but in theory it would work.

Anyway I will caution excess use of AI upload as we certainly dont' want to push out fan translators. But people might appreciate more if you dug through and found some of the older stuff that NEVER got a proper translation despite sitting around for years. That way they can't pretend another group was actually going to work on it. There is plenty of works no one ever touched or that only got google translate at best.

Hmm, how do you know? Have you compared the raw to "old school MTL" and the new-fangled AI translations? Something tells me you didn't, because everyone with the ability to read the language to actually compare knows the truth. "Old school MTL" and it's shiny new coat of paint (AI) are roughly the same in their understanding of the language. That is to say, they're both shit.

The only advancement that's been made is in the English output. No, it's not any more accurate than it's ever been, but it is more legible than it's ever been. In fact, it's probably LESS accurate now than it's ever been, because in the quest to output text that reads well, "AI" translators now just drop shit if it can't make sense of it, or they hilariously just make shit up. "AIs" fucking hallucinate.

You want MTLs? Fine, suit yourself, you can consume garbage in the sanctity of your own home if you like. But keep it to yourself. It's so fucking easy to shit this stuff out now. There are tools and services that just let you dump in a deluge of images and provide an MTL in minutes.

You're not providing the community a service by doing it, you're just shitting it up.

Ai does halucinate, but if you control it with the right parameters it's translation is relatively accurate for the most part. SUre there is the chance it picks the wrong interpretation for a phrase ... but most of the time no one fucking cares! Unless it's an especially important phrase or the meaning gets altered in an impactful way it's all the same relaly. Hell even fan translators often fuck shit up because a good chunk of them are either outputting beyond their means or just don't care.

DOnt fucking act like"oh it's perfect when humans do it" hell no. Again I respect the work Fan translators do, even when they do an objectively mediocre job ... they still did the work and I respect them for that.

But a properly put together AI translator does FAR better than google translate and overall a better job than even most edited MTL.

Now I'm sure you'll angrily snap back, wishing death and suffering upon me for daring to suggest anything but the sacred translators work can be allowed to exist ... but honestly I don't give a shit. @saddasads sure, I've tweaked my font settings and my prompts in a way that I think will make the output much better.
@Scumbini to give the devil his due, what would you like to see me do differently? No, I'm not just going to stop because you told me so, but since I'm not going away what can I do that will make you feel better about my MTLs?

Due to the fact that you've been correctly labeling your uploads as MTL, I don't really have any strong preferences for what you're gonna do. I didn't come to the comments to shit on you, believe it or not. I looked at the gallery to figure out why it was uploaded twice, and then I commented to let you know that you can't delete your uploads as simply as you might have thought. Besides that, I wouldn't have even commented or given the gallery a second look. The other more coarse comment wasn't @ you for a reason.

Obviously I'd prefer it if the site had no MTLs on it, but that's not gonna happen anytime soon. Just keep labeling your uploads as MTL like you've been doing, you already have infinitely more common decency than some other uploaders for doing so. @HentaiLad He at least had the decency to label it as MTL but no, machine translations should not be uploaded at all on this site, not within our lifetime at least. Anyone with even a modicum of understanding regarding the common hentai phrases knows that MTLs fuck it up. I don't care if people use AI or MTL tools to make some sense of the wank material they read. But there's literally no reason for those people to post those here. What are you getting out of posting it here? Some dumb internet points? The vitriol spewed at MTLs time and time again? Like, if the uploader made this for personal use, why are they publishing it for public use?

Nothing makes sense regarding all the common reasons people who make MTLs give. There's better image viewer programs to use for personal use than uploading it here.
