The previous trashlation was done using crappy x1280 jpeg 80 resample, and you used an even crappier resample of that as your base, not even resample of the original, but resample of a resample.

There's no point in making and maintaining "Original Archive" torrents when all the originality was destroyed twice over, not just once, like dlsite in-house trashlations.

@bluebeard2211, Not the translation quality specifically, but the state of the end product compared to original.
It triggers my ocd when the product that's being worked on is damaged to absolutely unnecessary levels or changed in unnecessary ways. Especially when it's a lossless digital product that you can output in the exact same shape/form as input.

My bad, I guess. Didn't really think too much about the image quality. I just grabbed the first downloadable japanese copy I could find. Might take a bit more effort, but I could always pay a bit more attention to the actual image quality in future.

Also, I'm not really the one maintaining "Original Archive" torrents, these are automatically generated by the site, so I can't really do too much about that.

I did notice that you mention "trashlation" more than once. Is there anything in particular about this one that you're disatisfied with? Expressions used? Grammar? Word choice? Would be great if you could point to specific examples as well. While I'm not going to bother translating the 70,000 "ah"s and "ooh"s, I'd be more than happy to change the text if it makes sense. There were many times when I was TL'ing it when I thought something didn't quite sound right, but chose to keep it as is because I couldn't think of a better alternative.

An instance of this that comes to mind personally would be the last panel.
Because the lines spoken are split between 2 characters + each have their own way of speaking + the first person used "mo", which would normally be TL'd as "again", but at the end of a sentence rather than the start as it is in JP = the result is an awkwardly split line. I tried to express that individuality by having one say "going to", and the other say "gonna" and "ya hear" but it still sounds corny even to my own ears. Not to mention how stiff the sentence sounds with "once again" in the first bubble. A more experience translator would probably have a more elegant solution for this, sadly I don't.
