UPDATE - added the wrong page from the actual doujin scan, which was of lower quality than the actual boards.
Some of the original storyboards, all xeroxed, from the group The Tasaki Black Sabbath Guys (高崎サバトの連中), which pertained of the three members Osawa Yamato (大沢やまと), Eri and Yuri. This group has little works that are available online and it can be surmised that they perhaps only made a handful. These boards are based on Ryotaro Shiba (司馬遼太郎)'s novel Wind God's Gate (Fujin no Mon). This adaptation in particular follows a unique trend during the early 1980s of Gundam parodies that are based on Edo era and past Japanese history.
These boards pre-date other works of similar acclaim, such as Shio Sato (Simone Yotsuya)'s The Story of the Conquest of the Country (国盗り物語), based on another Ryotaro Shiba work. Simone's doujin was released August 15th of the same year while The Tasaki Black Sabbath Guy's boards are dated to have been from April 1st of 1981. Its unknown as to if Shio was inspired by the work or if it was coincidental.
These particular boards were acquired via a proxy service in a lot of some other doujinshi, many of which were Comiket related, however, I acquired a doujinshi from the group of the same name that features these storyboards, but they are not of the same quality of these in particular. The particular doujin of the same name was bought on Mandarake and appears to have only been available via mail order. Based on what I gathered from the actual doujinshi, this intro was actually animated by the group, though it probably doesn't exist anymore today. The group also created an anthology book based on Space Runaway Ideon with an interview with Tomonori Kogawa - I don't have this particular book as its seemingly quite rare/often sold out.
Presenting these as found with little editing, all scanned in at 600 DPI. These are drawn on industry standard storyboard paper and were bound this way for over 40+ years.
@Azure Eidolon thanks! Its a big part of what drives me out of interest, you never know what you're going to find and who influenced their communities. Anything odd or mysterious, I try to document it. Thanks for visiting and for your comment.
感谢作者在网上发布这些,不然这些东西在以后估计会成失传媒体,不过画风很像您在之前发布的国盗物语的漫画,但是作者不是同一个,不知道有没有什么关系sorry my English is not good,so this reply is in Chinese,so please use the translate APP
