I got fed up with the shitty-ass MTL translation we were stuck with for this doujin so I took a crack at it myself. See endcard for more of my thoughts but I hope this is at least better than what we had.

Thanks for the translation! Those MTLs have scarred me.
I get anxiety when opening these galleries and immediately look for the 'rough translation' tag.

Thank you for at least having some Japanese knowledge to help with the translation process! You are leagues ahead already. With just a cursory glance, I think your typesetting and all is fine. As far as I can tell, these MTL jerks either have the text automatically set or they put in the minimum required effort. My last project probably took 75-100 hours with redraws and stuff (because I use crude methods), and it pisses me off to see so little care put into the process. I think we should all strive for something approaching professional grade when so many doujin artists make great efforts toward their art.

Hm. For a magical girl corruption/TS story, this was pretty mild. Refreshing. I mean, it's not an ideal ending for them, but they seem happy and the villain probably just wants to casually rule the city from the shadows with a harem of sex slaves. Again, all things considered, not a bad deal.

@ast4 Well it seems like my translation still wasn't good enough because the "rough translation" tag got applied to it anyway! Hopefully it doesn't immediately scare people off because I do think mine is at least decent.

@xTtotal When I got to that part I couldn't help but just let out a chuckle

@Rawru I'm glad it got at least somone's approval! I had no idea how to do the fancy, buble filling climax texts that you see in a lot of translated doujin so I ended up just manually writing them in by hand in some instances. Same for the hearts since I for the life of me couldn't figure out how to just put in the unicode symbol in CSP. I did my best with redrawing where I could but sometimes I had to just throw my hands up and put a box over floating text instead. My goal was to, at the very least, make it not noticeable to people who weren't specifically looking for it. Wish I could've translated the title page as well but logo design is waaaaaaaaaaaay beyond my capabilities.

@-terry- I'm not sure what RTL stands for but thanks for linking to the endcard :3

You need a font that supports the heart symbols. Most fonts don't that. But for example Segoe UI Symbol does. (Unicode: 0x2661,0x2665 0x2764 )

I also know the pain of putting way to much time into redrawing just to put the text again over it so no one will see.

@Morbin Dunno if you'll see this, but for the climax text, I'll usually use a marker scribble font like Sugar Death to make it look nice. And I'll make it vertical instead of rotating. For heart symbols. I'll usually take them from the background layer and make each heart it's own separate layer with any background color removed. I'll then manually move the text to the right spot once typesetting for the bubble is finished. Generally speaking, I put centered after the last. But you can find a way to make it work for yourself! My way of doing it is a little annoying, but I like keeping the original hearts. So I don't really mind all that much.

@Morbin I think RTL is for rough translation and he tagged it because you admitted to starting off using MTL before editing.
Feels too puritanical to me. It should be based on the results and not the process.
You can get satisfactory results with your workflow of editing MTL with some basic Japanese knowledge and fluency in English.
This is the correct way to use MTL until the technology is good enough to match human translators.

EDIT: From here https://ehwiki.org/wiki/rough_translation
"When not indicated by the uploader, a gallery comment MUST detail the mistakes otherwise the tag is invalid. The comment needs to be written in a constructive, respectful manner."
I don't see any comment here about any errors so the RTL tag is invalid.

@Quatloco & @Rawru - Thanks for the tips! Having font recommendations really helps a lot

@ast4 - Welp, guess I'll keep the MTL base part to myself next time then :/

@Quatloco That's why it's a good idea to make the typeset first and set it to low opacity locked layer so you know what parts are worth retouching and which aren't.
