I was wondering who that guy was on page 3. It was Yuuji.

I think DATE could go either way with the story from here... most likely Yuuji's slime will consume Kei's slime, but the story could also have Yuuji stopping his slime before it happens. It's not often you run into another guy in the same slime situation as you, after all.

Personally, I'm hoping for the latter because I think it would be more interesting.

EDIT: Missed it on the first read, but it looks like Yuuji's slime has the ability to separate other slimes from their hosts. I wonder what's going to happen to the bodies.

@Cadavrus Yuuji's slime specifies that she's not going to absorb more bodies or kill them, she/it is only going after the other slime.

I'm still amazed that the setup of an apparently cute romcom is technically a complete horror setting. I mean, they're living with several variants of horrible human-eating, brain-eating, mind-raping parasites that are unarguably territorial and in conflict with each other. What happens when Yuuji accidentally makes her go berserk for some dumb mistake? He's going to live his whole life in abject terror of having to please an unkillable man-eating horror?

@Cadavrus Previously Yuuji's Slime could hack the brain of its victims but it ends up with the slime melting the head, but later on it shows that it can just enter, hack the brain and leave the victim mindfucked like what happened in chapter 12 so considering Yuuji's Slime stuck dicks into the two other bodies which where connected directly to their brains and they basically went mating by instinct it means their brains are useless or at least on a very limited capacity kinda like people after they get lobotomized.

Knowing this is an hentai they can also end up becoming like fannohitori's sex dolls after they evacuated their personalities that dont move which would be the perfect scenario for the Kei's Slime to come back inside them, remember Kei's Slime possesed already a previous body so that one can come to the rescue(she could carry an extiguinsher and turn Yuuji's slime into ice and get out with Kei and the others) or like the others said, Yuuji stops his slime before killing Kei's one which idk how Yuuji would convince her to not killing the other.

On the one hand sparing the slime would be almost romantic, and expand the setting etc. Boy and his slime finding a more equal relationship if she can make her own bodies. On the other hand Takamiya is a shapeshifting, human eating tiger. It's just out of character for her to hesitate.

Date's ability to keep things exciting and make me care about the slimes is quite impressive.

i hope his story continues, but i have a feeling DATE will follow through. dark route for the kid. i mean it already was, but now he’d be alone again with the lobotomized remains of those he held dear. rough titties. looking forward to the next chapter.

A good ending would be if the main guy gets there in time and convinces her, or if the kid makes a solid argument. The kid could tell her that he would make her life difficult and that too many people would become brain-dead if she killed the other slime, but I could also see this backfiring on him, with him either becoming another victim or the escape goat for all of the lobotomies.
