@Red 255 While yes it was poorly written when it came to the reveal of Kira and Cagalli being twins even though Kira was the Ultimate Coordinator and somehow Cagalli was born as a Natural, it wasn't really a wife swap since I never really got romantic vibes between Kira and Cagalli even from the start. Kira kinda jumped from Fllay to Lacus while Athrun seemed less invested in Lacus as a wife than it was a purely political move between the Zala and Clyne families to establish a sort of royal family of PLANT which made it hella easy for Lacus to jump on the Yamato D and for Athrun to jump on Cagalli both because of the political benefits of establishing a connection between PLANT and Orb as well as becoming actual brothers with Kira.
