@OP: you'd think the spine being perfectly straight wpuld be good posture, but the arch is actually correct because of the way your bones are connected, and trying to make your spine perfectly straight can actually exacerbate bad posture because you kind of have to slump your entire lower back forward to do it. also arched backs are hotter
