Acquired in an estate lot of books, this is the 1st volume and one of the first collaborative efforts of the circle Violet Mercury (バイオレットマーキュリー), primarily featuring the contributions of its head artist, the mangaka and novelist Shikiko Yamaai (山藍紫姫子). Tokyo Jack and Tomita Makubayashi (富田幕林 / aka Bolin Tomita, a Japanese play on the guitarist Tommy Bolin), contribute as well. This book contains a variety of novels and illustrations, primarily around Char x Garma, with additional Daimos and Goshogun works.

Unique features of this work are its step above most productions of the time - unlike standard paper bound works, this doujin is bound with printed and bound vellum. Given its price, this was quite the expensive coterie magazine and was for adult age fujoshi.

The retro and slightly amateurish style is quite interesting!

I don't find it amateurish personally. Shikiko Yamaai was already a professional mangaka and created these works on the side. Tokyo Jack may or may not have worked at the company that produced June. Given the production quality on the physical books, it was no amateur operation.
