Now this is scary. To add inefficiency to tragedy, I think there's an implication that whatever space magic is used to give this machine unlimited power doesn't produce enough to create excess energy, so it's sole purpose is to be a living hell for this poor girl. I suppose in some sense that silver lining is that at it means this horrific technology won't be expanded upon. There are many mediums that turn humans into energy farms. The Matrix comes to mind. Though compared to something like this, what the Machines did in The Matrix was downright humane.

@UnlimitedBlades no matter the amount of pseudoscientific mumbo-jumbo, a perpetual motion machine is an impossibility - one would expect even the mad scientist academy to stop funding such projects. A human body consumes energy for metabolism and maintaining its temperature (since humans are warm-bloodied). Obviously (by the law of conservation of energy) it cannot produce more energy than it consumes, in brainwaves or any other shape and form. Especially given that the supporting machinery also doesn't have a 100% efficiency.

The Matrix is on the more reasonable side of stories that make humans into power sources for the machines: there, at least, humans are used as electrochemical generators to transform chemical energy into their feed into electricity. That makes the whole setup at least scientifically possible, if absurd: the setting explicitly doesn't have the Sun as a source of energy to produce the feed, so whatever energy source the machines use for their agriculture, it's better used to produce electricity directly.

All in all, literally unreadable. And if they have technology that can replace most internal organs, they very well must have the technology to replace limbs and restore nominal functioning for a return to good school days.
