The formatting itself makes it pretty exhausting to read. Three quick suggestions: 1. Make the paragraph changes more obvious. Either use a tab at the start of a new paragraph OR use an extra line break. 2. Make sure to keep the section switches from the original intact. These are REALLY important. 3. Shrink the font some. Yes, this seems strange, but being unable to fit much content onto a page makes reading feel like a slog.

The translation is really shaky. A big problem is the sentences don’t really fit together. There’s no flow to it. They don’t transition smoothly at all. Everything jumps around really unnaturally and it makes it hard to read. In contrast, the original Japanese one flows pretty nicely—transitions well between paragraphs, you generally always know what’s going on. It’s not like it’s top-notch writing or anything, but it works well enough. This English translation doesn’t.

Individual sentences can be pretty bad too. Page 26 has a good example: "Hey, Hiromi. Can I call you Hiromi instead?" This doesn’t even make sense. In Japanese, it’s 「ねぇ、ヒロミくん。ヒロミくんじゃなくて、ひろみって呼んでいいかな」, which is basically his friend asking if he can drop the kun from Hiromi-kun. (Subtext: His friend no longer wishes to see him as a boy.)

I honestly gave up reading partway through. It really needs a lot of work.
