I honestly have zero clue where people get the whole MTL idea from. I use different fonts for different scenarios, align them to try to fit in the text bubbles as much as possible and redraw the text bubbles itself where it's not. Never seen an AI do that.

For the quality of the English, Japanese and Chinese don't directly translate to English, because of grammar issues and sentence structure and whatnot. Some of the slang used in the two other languages fit each other because they have similar roots, but when translated to English just doesn't make sense at all. I have to use my own English knowledge to substitute and unfortunately, I'm no Shakespeare.

As for the image quality... I do get that they're upscaled and much larger than usual. That's because of the lousy program I use. But honestly, it looks great on both my phone, my browser and my desktop. I'm sorry for not caring, but it's really hard to see the problem when I myself don't experience it. It's like telling me my blue is red, but all I see is blue.

Then again, I do this as a hobby more than anything else, so I can only say... if you find the quality to be off-putting enough, then maybe someone else will translate it into a format you'll like in the future. No hard feelings :)

I don't really care about the size, it's just upscale method you used. You even called what you use a "lousy program". You added a lot of "Blur" to it. Sure, you may be be fine with it but doesn't mean a lot of other people are.

I'm currently learning Japanese, and I just HAD to take a look. Second panel in I already knew something funky was going on so to the raws I went - and lo and behold: the bubbles were translated literally word-for-word and then left as-is, where-is. If you really practice what you preach then the first two speech bubbles would've been something like "As expected of a large corporation founded over a century ago - their building is in the center of the city."

I'm not even going to bother with the rest, lol.

@aurumauriga And I agree with you, mate! I try my absolute best, but I do agree your translation would have made more sense structure-wise. I'm not trying to say that my English is perfect - far from it, in fact. I'm just trying to debunk this ongoing perception that my language translations are done using an AI.

@WiscoSnap Proving once again my English isn't the best. Sorry! :( But honestly, I really have no quality issues on my devices. So I really don't know what's the issue. :/ I continue using this lousy program (as I put it) because it's a free AI redrawer that I use to erase texts easier. Back when I was first starting out, I was drawing white rectangles over text - which I can tell you is an utter nightmare. I haven't found a different free program, and since I'm not being paid for my work, I'm not going to spend money on it, so I'm stuck I'm afraid. If you know of a solution, let me know!

Maybe people are put off by what I do, maybe they aren't. I can only say if you are, then once again, maybe someone else will translate it into a format you'll like in the future. I know I can't please everyone, so I'm not trying to. Cheers. :)
