A copypaste of the english translation into the chinese decensored version. It's been reencoded to webp 95 quality settings as the original files where a mix between jpg and png format. All credits to original uploaders and official translation:

its quite a sloppy ai decensoring tbh. also another problem is that webp worsened already present banding. So yea a good downsample and export as png would have solved both the sloppy decensor and banding

@dafdagh can you tell me where do you see the banding? I wasn't aware of this issue. Btw there was no downsample, but looking at it it looks like the ppp in the decensored version is way lower than the original one. I'm guessing that's what you mean.

I can upload original files without conversion if anyone prefers them.

not at my pc rn so i can't make a proper comparison since its also less of a problem compared to my monitor. but really any gradient has this problem, take for example the gradient in the middle of page 38, look at full res btw. its very easy for webp to introduce banding, so you either use png or jxl to compress (but someone will complain...) . so to resolve banding you either remove it or make it much less noticeable by downsampling which also make sense here given that at full res you can see more problems of decensor. i haven't tested which sampler could work here tho, and i need my pc.

@dafdagh Ok I see what you mean now, thanks for the heads up. The banding comes from the original decensor page, and the webp made it worse somehow as you said. Not sure if the AI's burps can get solved by downscaling but I'm open to any suggestions. In any case, I'll stick with png from now on and I'll reupload the archive as soon as possible.

Hey man, thanks for appreciating and translating my decensored version. I made this last year when I was just starting out with decensoring, so it's pretty crude... Actually a Taiwanese distributor already announced an official uncensored version, probably dropping the digital release in June. If you're interested, maybe just wait and use the official version then.

since it seemed strange that even the raws had banding i grabbed the original jp and indeed it had no major banding, but with restday decensor first banding appeared and then webp worsened it (jxl is the only one i tested that is able to resist that)

@restday111 thanks for your work, I tried decensoring myself using ai and it is indeed an art by itself. I personally think you do a great job knowing the limitation of the tools we have right now. Good to know we might get an official decensored version, that should be interesting. Good job nonetheless, and keep it up!

@dafdagh yeah good job figuring it out, the english version has some tough compression artifacts as well which shouldn't really be there, so it was a mix of eveything after all.
