23 WIP (comic/artist update - 04/09/25)

Hello everyone! I'm back home from Bangkok!!

I'm very sorry, things were much busier than I thought they would be. Even though I go there relatively often, there is always just so much to do in that city that I was running myself ragged.

I intended to post an update after the earthquake reassuring everyone that I was OK, but stupidly I did not think to doublecheck that I was logged into Patreon or other recognizable socials on my devices 😅

I was certainly a little bit nervous for the remainder of my stay, since I was staying in high-rise hotels. There actually was some minor damage on one of the walls when I got back home after the quake! Not something you want to see over 20 floors up. 😵

Anyway, trip is over, I'm home and getting back to old routines. Next time I'll have to keep an eye out for Thaitails registrations, haha.

The next page of my comic is on its way. I hope you enjoy the included WIP :)

This is the finalized design of Dachi that I would use if I revisit SWL in the future. There are some minor differences to the way he appears in the current project, which has actually not been entirely consistent as I experiment with and modify my workflow 😅

When I started coming up with a story for Summer Won't Last, the initial idea was for a longer, slower burn story. However, after a rocky beginning and a lengthy hiatus, I decided to make this initial iteration of the comic into a standalone episode.

I'm still heavily considering doing SWL the way I originally imagined it. Perhaps renaming this current story to "Summer Won't Last: Pilot" or "Chapter 0", haha. It would be a much longer-form story that expands a lot on Levi and Dachi's backstory and history of friendship, as well as their future. I would be interested to know how interesting it would be to readers.

I had a hard time deciding whether or not dialogue was actually necessary for this page.

I wanted them to have a sort of breathless realization that transcends "thinking". A kind of animal and pure state of mind where overthinking things can ruin the moment... but it felt strange to have a page without dialogue and I am not sure in my art enough to convey the sort of mindset they have, haha.

For the time being, I will put both up here. Hopefully with the context of the next few pages, I can decide which is the "final" page by the time I upload to social media.

I'm very sorry, things happening around me are interrupting my work a lot more than I hoped. I'll be focusing on the comic for a little while to catch up to my projected output. Thank you so much for being so patient and supporting my work 😭

a user has been using the Vigilante (the forum side of EH for removals to trolls/spam/clean up) to manipulate mods and anyone to literally expunge galleries of old of mine even galleries I scanned myself *a long time ago* they are showing zero remorse and seem to be enjoying continuously commenting/trolling/controling on any of galleries to publicly shame me and get people to join them. I've had enough

These trolls have taken down most of my galleries either out of spite or envy showing zero remorse.

Attacked me aggressively to passive aggressively in my galleries' comments [mostly on Zourik content] either for attention (up votes) or spite over a non serious issue.
That Waitugreat loves to spotlight.
Over and over again.

Which the mods refuse to do anything for but either defending these fake kind bullies to being severely passive or blame both sides.
