Studio MAX was a circle that included industry animators releasing behind the scenes information about their projects along with storyboards and updates regarding them. This mainly included Uchida Yorihisa and fellows who worked on his projects, so a couple of their books were about their hentai productions such as Iyashite Agerun and especially Uchida's passion project, The Legend of Lyon Flare.
This particular book is split between two topics, the first half being Shin Reyon Densetsu: Mou Hitori no Flair, the second being GEPPY-X. 70s Robot Anime: Geppy-X is a PS1 side-scrolling shooter that was only released in Japan and is probably most well known for its numerous animated cutscenes. According to this book, the Settei included date back to when the project was conceived in 1995, before it was cancelled in 1996 and then revived in 1997.
Since these doujins include a lot of behind the scenes information on old productions, I will work on getting copies of all of them to preserve. I already have a few in my collection, so expect more in the near future.
big fan of Flair and thanks for the share and upload sad that Shin Flair never got properly localized with ep1 heavily edited, ep2 JP only, and no ep3 after a teasing T_T
what bothers me up to this date is WHO voiced the other Flair in ep2 because she sounds like one of my favorite VAs
@dokedoke Shin Flair actually did end up getting a properly localized and uncut release for both episodes in the States by the company, Happy Carrot. It's just that for whatever reason, they were not given the uncensored masters, so the OVA was released with the mosaics intact. Still better than the way Kitty Media handled episode 1.
I'm hoping we can see more of Uchida's plans for the series once I get my hands on the rest of the books.
