I chose to do a better translation than another bad one on this site, using Google Translate to copy the Japanese text & Chat GPT to translate the majority of what's in it (had to use Google Translate to do 1 line because Chat GPT wouldn't translate it because it was too NSFW). I do apologize for some of the spacing of the words at points & where the text was placed in some of the speech bubbles. The editing program I used didn't have a way to turn off the auto alignment for the text boxes.

@red death68 Google Translate was only used for 1 line because Chat GPT refused to translate it. Despite its crude way of translating things, Google Translate's good for scanning text & letting you copy/paste it. And, Chat GPT's good for translating from Japanese. I've been slowly learning Japanese, but a friend of mine vouched for Chat GPT being really good as a translation tool. Others have too since it works on its own translation algorithm that's much better than Google's.

@orangedew That other translation read like the person who translated it spoke neither English or Japanese & used either a dictionary to directly translate from Japanese to English, or a very poor translation algorithm & didn't account for grammar or how English actually flows as a language. But it DID give us that golden line.

@keketin Because I did the work to get the Japanese characters typed down, ran them through translation software, then ended up having to choose in some cases what translation I preferred since some sentences had multiples, that's how. It's about the same as someone who knows the language, reads or hears it, then translates it into another language. Or if someone's given a rough translation by someone else & has to rewrite the sentences to make sure they make sense in the other language. Whether I know the language thoroughly enough to translate it on my own, or use translation software, it doesn't matter.

i appreciate the effort of doing a translation that doesn't have the "I TOLD YOU IT WAS RICE" seal of quality, but you should really add "AI assisted" or "AI generated" on the title. Even though you did choose what you though fit best from the options given to you by chat gpt and google translate, claiming the translation is yours undermines and discourages the work of professional translators, who might disagree with the choices you, a person still learning (no offense), might have

@display_name69 I have that disclaimer in the initial comment I have under the gallery, so I'm not too arsed about it. It's also like...I'm not too fussed with angering actual pro translators, as I doubt they really care about an amateur using an AI program to translate text for a short Japanese porn comic. It's not like I'm doing this for profit or claiming it's 100% foolproof. I literally did it as an exercise & because the previous translation is genuinely unreadable most of the time. I'm sure a more experienced translator could do much better than what I have here. However, I don't know any & was also wanting to get it done as quickly as possible while also having something in regards to a readable translation.

there are programs that help you with everything, like typesetting and saving profiles, ocr, cleaning and also support better models for translation. You can easily start with doing everything with the program and have blago proofread it. If you want i can give links, but its really easy to find anyway. Result will be much better and with much less time spent with programs not built for this.
