Isn't this the prequel to the other story? If I'm wrong then nevermind. But, if this is then she is awful cause even after she had this relationship she went back to the mc and had a relationship with him even when she knew she wouldn't quite feel the same way about him. @CDub7888, well, that's bound to happen considering the large number of people this site attracts. So it's also no suprise you'll also see enough examples here of the opposite where guys defend a woman no matter how toxic and two-faced she may behave. For newcomers:

This is a retelling (remake? reboot? Not a prequel!) of the author's old work titled "Yamato Nadeshiko". The female main character and the "other guy" in both works are literally the same, Yoshiko and Carlos. Viola is their friend in Yamato Nadeshiko, but she doesn't appear here.

The male "main" characters are different though. Here, it's her childhood friend Yuuto, but in Yamato Nadeshiko it's her boyfriend/fiance Yoshio. The old work is just a full NTR, as the boyfriend was supportive of her decision of going abroad, but she ended up falling for Carlos. In this work the childhood friend is just an entitled brat.
