Nah, it was set up that while the father disagrees with the incest he supports the two wholeheartedly. The original commissioner who also originally owned the characters seemed to want the more abusive, drunk father angle but BlackKitten has shown that their idea for the story is a lot more positive for everyone involved. He might solidify his stance about disagreeing with the two of them but it would be a full 180 for him to suddenly get aggressive with the two or to double down on what he said earlier and leave their lives for good.

I think Kevin is going to say something along the lines of how he still doesn't approve of them being in a relationship. However, he can tell that they do genuinely love each other and he loves both of them (in a fatherly way) and doesn't want to lose them. So he'll propose that they can come back home and he'll help them find a place if they agree to not sleeping together under his roof. He might also be saying he wants one or both of them to go to college and he's there to talk about that. Seb working in hardware and Sera working in the post office is going to be a struggle in the best of circumstances and without a degree, it'll be harder for them to advance much. OR he's going to say he's talked to Jayden and she's agreed to move in with Kevin and let Seb & Sera have her home.

Just to recap: Seb is the son, Serah is the daughter, Jayden is the zebra girlfriend(?) of Kevin (When she was introduced, she was portrayed as a prostitute/escort, but since then she's been retconned to a girlfriend who Serah just assumed was a prostitute) Seb & Serah are living together in Jayden's house while Jayden is living with Kevin in his house.

As for the new page, good they are talking. We're getting Kevin's perspective. He sees Seb and Serah's relationship as him failing as a father and that's what he's dwelling on. That he somehow caused this to happen. But I think Serah is going to try to get him to see that this would be like a parent finding out their kid is homosexual or trans and think it is their fault as a parent, somehow. Like "I should have made him try out for sports" or "I shouldn't have let him sign up for ballet lessons" or things like that. OBVIOUSLY NOT THE SAME LEVEL as that, but it's the closest comparison I could think of in the moment. The point is that Kevin needs to see that he didn't "cause" anything or "fail them" and she's going to try to get him to realize that.

Inbreeding isn't necessarily disastrous in a single generation, even for close relations. You should absolutely never, ever do it, for a variety of reasons, but if one generation of sister fucking was that big of a calamity, the Ptolemaic dynasty would have been pumping out Chaos spawn by the time they fell. Incest is illegal in the US, so they can't get married and they'd need to move somewhere where no one knows their background. They'd likely need to change their names and they might need to tell people that they are distant cousins to explain the similarities in appearance and having the same birth date can be claimed to be just one of those weird coincidences. Neither of them seem interested in having children, so they can probably keep the front up for quite some time, possibly indefinitely.
While it is a crime, they'd both be consenting adults. They aren't going to prosecute each other so the only way the illegality would be an issue is if a prosecutor felt like pursuing the case, which is not very likely. Not impossible, just unlikely.
The biggest issue would be if they have some sort of medical issue or actually do get pregnant. That really increases the chances of medical tests that would reveal that they aren't just cousins, but siblings.
And, of course, the longer they stay in that town, the greater the likelihood of someone putting two and two together or someone in the know letting something slip.

I mean, I agree with Keith that they don't have a plan for how they'll go forward and that's a big problem with something like this. The two of them (Seb and Sera) need to sit down and have a serious talk about the possible issues and what they need to do to be prepared for those and/or plan for what to do if they occur. I'd include Keith, but I don't think either of them would be as open as they would if were just them. Maybe Jayden could be there as a moderator and to point out weaknesses in their plans.

@SirBlahtson Her dad trying to be sincere now means nothing when he's been a drunkard a significant chunk of their lives. He's saying words he cannot and has never been able to back up. He couldn't even pony up allowance for Seb to take a girl on a picnic date because a rando he drunkenly brought over stole his money and later had to scrounge for it. Most of this story has been how they've had to be self-sufficient and have had to work around their dad and mitigate his bullshit, which then gets proven by them feeling the need to leave entirely and then again by him randomly showing up what seems to be 2+ weeks later and slamming his hands down on the table and yelling over the top of Serah. Saying he's going to keep his distance from them right after that is just the straw that breaks the camel's back given he wasn't close to them to begin with, as we're about to reinforce.
