The Strange Bedfellows mini-arc underwhelmed me. I was hoping for more development, not a couple of lectures. The T/B marriage killed a prime story motive... but in a good way, by killing off a worn story plot, learning to live together, in favor of a new one, learning to marriage, which is harder and more complex (which is why the families get so much more time just before the change).

Perhaps Nortuet is new to handling a larger cast. T/B's quest to expand their social life (outside of Family and Work) would have dovetailed neatly with more Noah and Sarah: new people asking them, "So, are you two roommates, or... something closer...?" and then we could have enjoyed watching them struggle to explain what they get out of their arrangement (or hope to). Ah, well.

And we know Sarah is interested in sex, but loses interest in specific partners once she's slept with them and/or can't use her sexuality to exert dominance.

My read is that they're not fucking specifically because Sarah wants to cultivate a long term relationship of some type with this rare person that vibes with her brand of crazy, and she doesn't want to let the mystery out of the tires too soon.

especially when playing a Warlock. they are pretty weak, if versatile, to start with. the quintessential Glass Canon Character type. built right? they can deal metric fuck-tons of damage... but they are very squishy and prone to dying early in.

Warlocks get interesting around level 5, as most of their spells gain multiple attacks and extra features.

best build I have found? take the Agonizing Blast and Lance of Lethargy Eldritch Invocations, along with the Spell Sniper feat. yes you can get ridiculous levels of range with eldritch blast if you build it up correctly, but honestly at 120 feet starting range? there is not much outside your area of attack to begin with. while Spell sniper doubles that to 240 feet, that is not why you need to take that feat as early as possible.

its because 1, you gain an extra cantrip that doe not count towards your spell total, and 2, you can ignore any cover EXCEPT Full Cover. if you can see part of your opponent? then with the Spell Sniper feat? you can hit your opponent... provided the Dice are kind to you.

I foresee a total party wipe incoming at this rate.

It seems like the magic is gone at this point. The cutsiness and wackiness has been smoothed out into dry antidrama. Sarah was my favorite character but her and Noah are so boring now. They had a great dynamic but now they're not even fucking with people. It's fine that they and everyone else has developed but what do you do once all the flavors gone? And like I said it's fine that the characters have developed but my problem is that the tone of the comic has shifted from silly fun and gags with a bit of heart at the center to boring non-drama.
