Is this AI or is the artist expiating some of the drafting to AI? It kind of feels like it, but then again its also just a variant set.

Like Noone said, it was released in 2021. That was before the point where AI could produce images that are actually coherent, and, even now, I don't think AI is consistent enough yet to produce a variant set. Also this artist has been around since 2016, and their artstyle has been consistent throughout. Unless Bonifasko is a time traveller, this isn't AI.

This wasn't AI, I commissioned it ages ago. Thanks for sharing the timestamp link to my gallery in furaffinity. As for how the commission went back then, we started by sketching and painting the human form and gradually kept progressing each consecutive picture over the previous picture until she became more dragon-like. It was a long process but really ensured consistency. Bonifasko is just that amazing of an artist.

I'm glad you like the sequence... and my apologies for the cheesy dialogue, looking back it does feel that way a little ahaha! ^^
