[Dadacco Racco-chan] Shuuden Nogashita Kouhai Shain ni Asa made Nakadashi Shita Hanashi. | That Time I Creampied My Colleagues Until Morning After We Missed The Last Train Home [English] [Solid Rose]
Just so you know, I would not have bothered pointing this out if the artist themselves hadn't made the height difference a big part of the story, but alas, they did. So having said that, the artist needs to get the proportions right when it comes to the sizes of his characters. To give you the easiest to understand example, look at the fifth page. On that page, if the guy is 160cm and the girl on the left is 171cm then obviously – when you consider that the average head is roughly 22cm (measured from the top of the head to the underside of the chin) – the top of his head should reach somewhere around where her nose is without her having to bend her knees or back at all like she did on that page; in other words, she's taller than 171cm if she had completely stood straight up.
@Forgunia That's something manga artists, specially ero-manga artists, seem to do a lot. Turns out ten centimeters isn't quite the difference visually. So they exagerate the size of the characters visually to appeal better to the size difference aspect while keeping the scenario beliaveble (a 190cm japanese woman is uncommon, two in the same place is strange) They also do the same with loli, they normally seem to be way shorter than their informed height suggests. Or they increase the male to ridiculous heights (like being twice the girls' height, which could mean they are over 3 meters) At least making the girls bend a bit makes it easier to believe their informed heights
