bloodthirster, I'm fairly certain those are meant to be respirators so the 'subject' can breathe. Either that or it's meant to pump air out of the suit to make it tighter...

As for the artwork, it's fairly sub-standard, but I guess if you like latex art you could do a hell of a lot worse...

the ones with the air pumps on them are ones that start out small then are inflated to fill their mouths. Makes it easier for the gag to completely silence the subject and keep them quiet.
