MDV's right. April was of mixed Caucasian and Asian descent with black hair in the Mirage comic. In the 1987 cartoon, they rigged her to be Asian with a touch of Irish. Her hair was a reddish brown, so still Asian and Caucasian. 2003 and 2012 continued in the traditions of the 1987 series. Rise is the first time we get a black April. Mayhem... Mayhem April just fucking sucks in terms of design. Between the two black versions, I'd say Rise would be the better of the two.
