Like because Nagisa & Seia swimsuits were so unique, It made Mika look pretty dull.

For me, it's less of a design thing and more that sMika's sprite work, as submitted by Kokosando, was kinda mediocre. The official Yostar 3D model from the shorts and fanart make it work much better.

Mika's original artist, yutokamizu - who also designed Kisaki - is working on a new project from Nexon and hasn't done BA stuff in a year and a half.
