Infiltration are nice for slow burn corruption, where the victim can't gauge the influence on them and blurring whether they're pretending or not. Shame it goes to instant loss partway here. Can't win em all I guess. Funny ending though.

True but since these are all made to be one and done chapters there wasn't really time for a slow burn.
Hoenstly this entire series could use an expansion to give some of the corruption time to sink in. Nothing outrageous of couse But Given this is 13 chapters overall ... doubling it to 26 or do would probably be enough.
