@CDub7888 Yes it's an absolutely braindead line, but the comparison to hentailand NTR logic made me think that this (somehow) actually isn't as dumb as you think it is - IIRC in Ancient Rome, being a skilled slave meant you could be more valuable than a freeman, relatively speaking, and even in contemporary history and fiction you have people that are proud to have been serving House/Clan XYZ for QRS generations.
I would like to think the reasoning is because a slave/servant of a renowned family would be more educated and/or skilled than the average citizen. After all, reputation would have been everything to the upper class, so the people working for them would likely have to be some degree of competency as well.
Or the person is just weird. Example being Stephen from Django Unchained lol
