Is it me, or is Takaman's facial art style too radically different now? It's a great art style in its own right; I don't think there's anything wrong with it, but coming from his previous Zuikaku works, it looks quite different.

Yeah, I think Takaman used to reserve this sort of semi-realistic style (pronounced nose, lips, and jawline) for foreign ships.

It definitely looks different, for the worse imo.

Not a fan of this style with the prominent noses and other features,
I think the cuter 2D art styles with simpler features like dot or dash noses look better.

No clue whether it was a bunch of people complaining or just one person with a bunch of accounts, but I think Takaman’s current work is way better.
