Better than the other eng tl at least, as for the page size being decreased do you mean filesize? Not all PNGs are created equal. But PNG is a lossles format, so long as the translator translated from source to PNG it should be full quality even if the files are smaller.

Since doujins tend to be monochrome, you could actually make the PNGs really small with something like pngquant (just make sure to disable dithering). with pngquant or imageamgick picking an image at random from this gallery i was able to reduce the size by a full megabyte (2.7mb to 1.5mb) by converting it to 8-bt png, and because it's monochrome theoretically no quality should get lost (because at 8-btt, you get 256 unique colors, which is the number of colors per channel for 24 bit (normal) images, therefore if the image only uses one color or is greyscale, 8-bit png should be able to representa ll the individual colors in the image with ease.
