After a battle against the Empire, Eltolinde arrived. Considering that a normal tribute is meant to comfort the spirits of the dead, it's pretty much her way of saying "GO TO HELL, YOU BASTARDS, AND MAY YOU NEVER HAPPINESS IN THE AFTERLIFE".
Note: As what she casted is a spell to delay the soldier's death, it's highly possible that he's still alive on the last page, and will die in the next few hours with his face and mouth full of sh*t.
