Acquired from Yahoo Japan Auctions, this is a short Aniparo work featuring Gundam gag comics from the circle WHITE ECHO. WHITE ECHO was headed by the mangaka Jun Mizutani (水谷潤) among several other artists who went on to be serialized commercially. Created two years after Gundam's original broadcast date, this version ultimately went to Comiket 15. Version 1 is not in my possession, but from my understanding, many second editions typically had expanded stories or chapters or reprintings/re-recordings to be sold again.

With that said, I have acquired several more from the circle and will be uploading them as soon as they arrive.

"Haha, little by little, I’ve started to feel a bit of dissatisfaction and doubt toward the form of “parody.”
The desire of Comic Market and other fanzine readers isn’t so much to see a work cleverly copied, but rather to see talented creators take a fine piece of work and expand it with their own free expression.

It’s like thinking, “Perhaps the character I love might have this kind of side too…”

This kind of free interpretation and expression feels like one of the joys of being an anime lover.
Of course, if you simply turn it into a gag, the gag can end up getting twisted into a cliché, and it loses its charm.

At the same time, I can’t deny that the current situation in doujin manga, where everything tends to become parody, leaves me feeling a bit uneasy.

Still, leaving the general debate aside, as far as this parody book goes, I think — both myself and the staff — we’ve done quite a good job with it!
