If these comics were all paid for by a single commissioner, and they ran out of funds, fine. I dont have a problem with that.

The issue is that these are made as part of a Patreon that is shilled hard, and then has like 20 startups and 0 finishes. It's a collective community pool paying for these. There's no reason for MWM to not finish a story.

Oh wait. Each new story is a new net cast to make more money, and then work on the ones people like the most. The ones I like the most are the ones that are fuckin finished.

I've commented on this before. The issue isn't with the patreon being shilled, it's with the frequency of "on-going" comics that take months to years to fully complete crowding the submissions, and are being updated frequently in small portions. Forcing people who use certain tags to see the artist constantly and cluttering the front page (and the second and third as they often have a rotational schedule on updates). I don't think this is an issue specifically with this artist either, I think we have a lot of artists who do something similar and the users are constantly seeing it. Causing frustration. And while you can just "-" an artists name to not see it, I don't think users want to have to keep a notepad of blacklisted names just to browse the site. For those who are frequent users of the site and know its ins and outs I'm sure they would disagree to an extent. But for the majority of users who just made an account to browse more freely I can see where the frustration comes from. I imagine most people don't want to learn how to use a site for porn. They want to get in and get out with no trouble.

I'm just going to free-think a possible solution (it's probably incorrect), but the easiest concept would have a minimum amount of images uploaded in a time frame or a percentage of completion needed in order to update an on-going comic (IE, you must post 10-20% of a comic, be it 10 pages or 200 pages. This way you can only update a comic a hand full of times instead of dozens a times a year. I'm sure this would create a lot of problems though so somebody more familiar with the uploading side of this is probably more justified in a solution. As a consumer, I'm just tired of seeing it.

And to be clear, I'm not against artists shilling their product here, it doesn't bother me to see an addendum page or the OP comment linking their donation platform. But at the same time I don't want to see the same artist constantly crowding the top pages because they upload small additions to their half a dozen comics that are up at any time. The bag grabbing bothers me significantly less than the basic concept of having a site be simpler to traverse. And frankly makes the site look more like a place to insert the artists billboard than use it as an archive or a gallery dump venue. Which is what the site originally was and is.
