Since then, in order to get around Anri's own self disgust, feeling she is unworthy of Takuya's love he kinda becomes a similar dominant figure to Anri, to replace Kurosawa in her fractured psyche, hoping to be with her Takuya will what takes to be at her side, and this weird play kind of works as Takuya and Anri swear to be at each other's side forever.

Edit: Just noticed this is Hori Hiroaki? The artstyle looks very early in his career, must be an old work. Yeah, Hori does works like these, it is not uncommon for him to do Netorare where fixing things is a possibility.
