A very legendary series from one of the earliest, and in my opinion, robust BL doujin fan artists of their era, Normal began as the personal magazine of the Aniparo mangaka Mari Hibiki (ひびき真里) sometime in late 1977 to early 1978. This imprint, while highly professional given its motifs, soon developed into a renown circle with a relatively large membership base. Many of the contributors, such as Ai Naniwa (浪速 愛), went on to be very important mangaka in their time or into this current era.

Normal as a group held its focus with yaoi / BL / shonen ai themes surrounding a multitude of mecha and SF works, though not limited to. Interviews were sometimes held with seiyuu and production staff of particular series, however, the group focused primarily on a submission based system for manuscripts. Many of the manuscripts in Normal are quite professionally drawn and rendered considering that many of the artists were high school age students at the time of publication. Normal lasted for 18 issues, the last being published in 1982, whereas Mari Hibiki and the artist Doronco / Doronko went on to establish the adult's only imprint Rag House under Doronco's circle REX.

Mari Hibiki went on to publish several Saint Seiya works post the Aniparo boom and was well known for her Daimos related works, which often placed Kazuya Ryūzaki (竜崎 一矢) in a submissive role and with a distinct art style.

This particular group eventually exhibited at Comiket during the 1980s proper and included artists such as Shio Sato (Simone Yotsuya), Shiomi Shigeshi and Rio Yagizgawa later in the group's life. I acquired this among 100+ doujin off of YJA last year but have returned to this queue.

Published March 24th of 1979 and later sold at Comiket 8.

There is no clear colophon in this book as to who make what, however, the following came from Hibiki:

At first I wondered, “If we do another issue, won’t it fail? Won’t no one read it again?”
I was so nervous!
But somehow, here we are with issue No. 5!
If you think about it, it’s already spring 1979!
A new school year is starting!
Eh— why so early?!

That’s right!!
“Time flies.”
In other words, the seasons cycle quickly, and that—
Ugh, enough of that kind of sappy stuff!!
Let’s get back to the point!!

The group mentioned the following about Comiket:

● That mysterious letter we received—“Please deliver this to three children”—
we cannot comply.
(It was extremely vague and the addressee unclear!!)
Please write the recipient’s name properly!!

● For the April 8 Comiket event:
We, the A.S.H. members, will be located in Booth 48B!!
Please do come see us!
(Last event was 52B!!)
We will be offering… “those things”… yes, those.
