Yes, it is one of those Netorase scenarios which is just Netorare by the end where the MC deeply regrets his decisions and knows he fucked up, Murai breaks down when the video shows that at the end Akagi asked Yuri to kiss him, she accepts only to say it will be the only and last she time does that, Akagi just calmly embraces her and says once is fine as he professed his love for her (Akagi knows he got Yuri by the strings, despite her words).

When Murai meets Yuri again he is buried deep in guilt and insecurities, so he asks her if he still is the first one in her mind; Yuri says in a shrugging manner that it's obvious, she is his girlfriend of course he is first in her mind, then she excuses herself saying she wants to take a nap, Murai shouldn't peek behind the curtain. It ends with Murai wallowing in despair as he knows Yuri isn't napping, she is masturbating at the thoughts of her encounter with Akagi, Murai knows he messed up.

Well, I pretty much agree with everything that’s been said earlier, so no need to repeat it… Overall, the author is making almost the exact same mistake as in ‘One Week Sex Over Than 10 Years of Love’, as @Wilfriback mentioned, meaning he shifts from netorase to netorare. Authors really need to stop doing that, lol. They should just go straight for netorare instead of messing with other genres (which are supposed to attract a different audience)… It’s like Onna Gal Joushi to Furin suru Hanashi 4 by Nakamo, where the author went from inverse NTR / harem to netorare and then acts surprised to receive 99 negative reviews out of 100 comments (that’s an idiom, but you get the idea).

Anyway, I went a bit off track from what I originally wanted to say, but I saw a few people talking about the author’s future “vanilla” project… Well okay, I’ll wait and see. He already struggles to make a proper netorase without it turning into netorare, so I’m curious to see if he can make a work without messing it up haha…

In the majority of cases, "Netorase" is less so an indication of the genre and mostly it's just there to point out that the enabler/initiator of the Netorare is the one who supposedly loves the FMC himself. It's just not a reliable way to tell outcomes.

The best way to tell is to not miss the obvious red flags of Netorare, namely the villain/threat.
If a guy convinces his beloved to play a thrilling game of trust where she'll be blindfolded and earplugged and he's going to gently push her to fall onto something safe or soft like a pool or a pile of pillows, but then still in the early pages of the story you see they're actually approaching a railway with an incoming train or the edge of a rooftop, sort of get the hint already.

When you see that haircut on pg.9 you can tell a revolver with a fully loaded cylinder is being picked to play Russian Roulette, and that's going from visual queues alone.

As a consumer myself, I will give you guys who appreciate these kind of stories a more accurate take than critic bozos who can't spend a dime to their beloved genre and would complain why there are so many NTS turned to NTR stories out there

If you look at most of the works in Fanza or DLSite, Part 1 in majority will outsale sequels, why? The answer isn't rocket science, they've been available for sale longer than the newer works. This means, more discounts when they've been in the market long enough, some can even drop to 90% discount for over a year. If stories like these is a turn off for most fans, trust me, this trend would have died a long time ago. Also, these sites isn't the only ones they can sell their works, there's also comicons and stores where they can sell physical copies of their work. So don't listen to these morons who would wake up everyday and decide to be a moron who would spend the rest of their time complaining, bitching and would slander authors who works hard to earn money and pleasing us, the target audience who actually spend money for their work.

The reason why I am on e-hentai in the first place was because I've been in this site since I was a kid (almost 2 decades) but as soon as I started working, I started buying and supporting japanese artist especially NTR genre that I started loving. True that just like everyone else, there are stories here that I don't buy because I have no interest in supporting something i don't like. But I will never, under any circumstance, would go in my way to wake up everyday, spend my everyday life to seach *insert genre I didn't like* and throw critism on works I never bought, nor slander authors every single day and feel joy if their works "bomb" like a bloody idiot. Maybe if you want me to stop throw insults like these, you talk to the same hill billies I see everyday when I go to the genres that I love with passion. This is coming from a guy who's fortunate enough to buy over a thousand NTR works whenever it's FANZA, DLSite, pixiv Booth, Irodori or Fakku. Trust me, I am not on the same situation as you guys.

On a different topic, the sales was good enough that the author confirmed that we are getting a sequel "someday". Big W for us NTR fans.

It’s always funny to see guys ‘consider themselves’ consumers and look down on or even insult others, while being on e-hentai or other sites with the rest of us. You do realize we’re probably in the same situation as you, right? That we can also decide whether or not to buy a work after seeing it on an illegal website?

Anyway… when it comes to numbers, most sales today happen online, not physical. It’s like other media: why bother taking up space when you can have everything on a hard drive? And obviously, the authors themselves aren’t going to show up at conventions carrying 50,000 copies in their arms… So what @Wilfriback said isn’t bullshit and if there’s a significant gap between the three chapters, then there’s a problem

As for sales again, whether there are discounts or not, once more, most sales happen at release. Doujin and hanime don’t get some special exception to that rule. There can be exceptions, but a work that sells, let’s say, 1,000 copies in the first week isn’t going to magically end up at 100,000 or even 50k or 30k. What I’m saying is that the initial numbers are not going to double, let alone triple, just because of sales and discounts.

Where we can agree is that the first chapters of a work that has continuity will almost always sell more, partly because they’ve been available longer, but also because the audience gradually loses interest and that can be for different reasons, not only because they like it or not.

And every work is subject to criticism. Whether the author worked hard or not, criticism whether positive or negative is necessary, even if I admit that authors probably don’t care about opinions on e-hentai lol. But buyers do.

Anyway… stop looking down on people and insulting them at every opportunity…

Y'know, for all that the fetish version of Netorase tends to involve the girl sticking with her BF even when receiving far better sex from other men and all that, for all sorts of reasons... From what I've heard, the literal definition is still meant to be another form of Netorare, because Netorase is a causative form. So it's basically meant to be used in the "I caused X to be taken away by sleeping with" format. Now, I'm hardly an expert on Japanese and like most Westerners, I get by with MTL, reading blogs and talking with people that actually know Japanese... However, my understanding is that the situation where a BF causes his GF to be fully taken away via the power of dick is the literal meaning of the Netorase word.

Now, obviously, the fetish that uses the word evolved differently, but it doesn't really change the fact that this is still Netorase, just taken to its logical conclusion when in relation to Netorare.

I honestly don't know why this isn't more popular, given the popularity of mainstream NTR... but I'm hardly in the position to judge one way or the other. I'm into way too much weird shit.

Regardless, my only issue with this work is that the girl looks waaaaaaaaaaay too much like the previous series' girls. Like. The artist didn't even try to make her trully distinct in terms of looks. Dunno if it's on purpose or not, but the similarity makes it a tad less interesting that it would've been otherwise. Still hot, don't get me wrong, but I do think he could've gone a bit further.
