Hey, everyone. How are you all doing? I'm here to give you Symbiotic Companion Episode 7. Unfortunately, because I was late finishing Scarlet's story last month and felt a little burnt out, I wasn't able to finish the full episode I wanted. However, instead of having you wait until next year to get it, I've decided to split it in half and give you a small portion now. I'm sorry for this, but I still wanted to give you something before the holiday. Anyway, I hope you will enjoy it.
But first, a little description. Last episode, tension rises as Genny and her friends become embroiled in conflict with Nadia and fighting against her symbiotic "Spawn" creatures, who have begun attacking the city. But as they were dealing with that, Nadia began targeting Jane, who had taken a liking to her. Jane tries her best to fight back, but unfortunately, she was ultimately defeated and became corrupted into becoming Nadia's girlfriend. Meanwhile, Genny gets an unexpected guest when her teacher, Flynn Thompson, arrives in a soldier's uniform and then points a gun at her. How will Genny get out of this, and what will happen to Jane since she is now with Nadia? Well, find out here in Symbiotic Companion 7- The Darkest Before The Dawn (Part 1)!

I really enjoyed this first part of the story and I hope to see the second part very soon because it leaves us with questions. Jane has succumbed to the corruption of Nadia, her Alien Symbiote, and the new symbiote, Neglo. Because Jane seems pregnant, could it be that her old personality has disappeared? Is she asleep, or have Neglo and Jane fused? I give it a 10; keep it up, and I hope to see more stories like this.
I honestly feel like, anyone who writes a corruption story with the caveat: "their real selves are still in there, waiting to be pulled out! Look, here they are!" Are cowards as writers. Imagine a zombie breakout story, and your lover gets bit, and turns into a mindless, rotting, arms-falling-off zombie, but the narrative goes: "they can still be saved, and turned back!" ...Can they? CAN THEY? And even if they can, is that even the point of a "zombie story"? (this is kinda where the analogy falls off....Is a "happy ending" EVER the point of a corruption story? It never made sense to me.)
What I enjoyed about Dina Rangers was specifically that the process of "turning people" exploited a human's pleasure mechanisms, and made them "want to give themselves in". There wasn't any spark left over, or a particular will to reemerge. They decided to plunge themselves into the corruption because they got a good taste of it, like heroin (ya'll know stories about heroin users, that shit fucks you up and there's no turning back). (I will add that I am aware the last volume (sob) had a character re-emerge, which I still think was stupid and made no sense given the entirety of how the story worked).
Anyway, other than that....Honestly, I only read the parts with the corruption-esque sex scenes (which was pretty good), so I got no other comments for OP, if you happen to look for them... I tend to skip a LOT of the plot stuff. Way, waaayy too much talking.
P.S: Why the low rating? This isn't low-effort or anything. Kinda weird. Prev chapter has a score of 4+.
