Acquired so that they can't be gatekept anymore, simple as. I now own the entirety of the program books as well as all associated flyers, notebooks and book cases. I'll be uploading them all naturally, there are about 20 or so items all together.

The last of the program booklets - this particular booklet covers the artists / authors who were invited to attend Daicon IV as special guests, namely from Western countries. Everyone from Isaac Asimov to Frederik Poul were contacted, though only a few writers showed up among all of the Japanese guests who were invited. Many of the letters of rejection are very charming but kind.

Its important to understand that SF was more than just the inclusionary elements of anime at the time and that this convention had been around since the early 1960s - all manners of SF enjoyers, including fantasy and more, were invited and came to participate.
