It would seem that after many years, the artist behind the source material to the legendary bakunyuu anime Manyuu Hikenchou has started making Manyuu content again (sortov). It mainly seems to be autographed drawings of Chifusa (and even Kagefusa!), but getting new Manyuu content after over a decade is still pretty special to the obsessive fans like myself. I suppose the hope would be that eventually the author makes an R18 Manyuu doujin, but longtime fans know the Manyuu manga was a completely different beast to the Kaneko anime. Rather, the anime drastically increased the fanservice.

The Manyuu anime and especially its OVAs are a lesson in giving the fans what they want. Whereas the manga lost the PLOT and focused on the plot, completely removing the breast-related antics. The design of Chifusa's body is a good example of this difference. Manga Chifusa is much more built, she has definition to her muscles and looks more powerful like a samurai should. Meanwhile Anime Chifusa is clearly much more thicc, her hips are far wider, and what she loses in muscle mass she makes up for in fat ass.

The anime is over the top and goes too far. Chifusa blushing when her breasts expand to imply it's "stimulating" is one thing, but her screaming for 10 seconds over it is another.
