I always wondered if switching to full ntr does better commercialy, since it seems like a risky decision unless you write only ntr works. Can image people not being happy with the switch, since it really wasn't foreshadowed well enough in the prequel. Might alienate new readers from his books, that my hot take at least. Still has great art, but wouldnt be suprised if the series ended here due to reader backlash.

@exzk678 As I said before, it rarely works out because a lot of authors don’t have the skills to make good netorare, let alone mix it with other genres. It often relies solely on the art to carry the work.

So who’s it going to appeal to? Netorare fans probably didn’t like the first chapter, and fans of the first chapter probably won’t like the second. In the end, you satisfy no one.

Recently, you had Nakamo, who thought he was clever by ruining a 3-chapter series by turning it into netorare in the 4th chapter… with an ending where the MC travels back in time to try to fix this netorare moment. The author ended up posting in three different languages to explain that he understood readers’ dissatisfaction on X, Pixiv, etc., asking people to continue supporting him and that the 5th chapter would be the final one (I guess he wanted to continue but the damage was too big)

just posting here because people think that its a purely Netorare vs Netori thing (and people need to stop using the term NTR when Netori is also involved). I'm just here because the characters hot. The plot change doesn't really change that. I think its a false statement to assume people who like Netorare didn't like the first chapter. Most people who are okay with Netorare will often read whatever. Netorare isn't the hard requirement. Liking vanilla doesnt mean you cant like netorare, the reverse is also the same conclusion. they aren't mutually exclusive, you just happen to find more people who only like netori have a problem with the other two forms of NTR (netorare, and netorase)
