I don't know what the original title is but "Knightess" is not correct English. A knighted woman is a knight. There is no gender distinction for knighthood.
A knighted woman carries the title Dame which is equal status to Sir for the same order. For example, Dame Judith Olivia Dench.

@rkdx In this context it means "not in common use anymore; archaic." That doesn't mean that it's not a word, or that you can't use it.

I never wrote that it isn't a word or that the translator can't use it. I pointed out that the usage is incorrect. That's what "archaic" and "obsolete" effectively mean. If the translator is intentionally using an archaic word then there should be a footnote or something to that effect so that we the readers know what their intention is. If not then the translator should take it as constructive criticism to improve their work.

Even if it wasn't already in the dictionary, there's nothing incorrect about coining new words, especially when the meaning is so obvious. Did you know it was a gendered version of the word "knight" when you read it? If you didn't, you're an imbecile. If you did and still posted that comment, you're a twat.

Do you know the meaning of the word obsolete?
Knightess is no longer used in that meaning.
It never should have been as the term was always more frequently used to mean the wife of a knight.

this artist made a cg set where she and friend had a threesome. So if he plan to continue this and do a threesome with red mary bringing her own toys, it could be pretty funny

In this context it means "not in common use anymore; archaic." That doesn't mean that it's not a word, or that you can't use it.

And again, even if it wasn't already a word, you could just coin it and everyone would know exactly what it meant and it would be fine.

Also, guess what: This is not set in the real world, or the modern day, or England. Dame Fuckin' Judi Dench has fuck all to do with how titles work in this setting.
