It's just sad that the series ended like this. The author really didn't want to draw this vol as we can see it has fewer pages. I'm glad it didn't become a NTR, but this is just the author doing a half-assed ending with lots of retcons.

This feels like a retcon, but looking at the previous chapter, it could have also been a successful bait and switch. The part where we hear that Seira went on a work trip and got married never shows anything explicitly and the work trip part was confirmed in this chapter. It is entirely possible that as the events happened in another country he could have gotten bad second hand information about her marriage.

As for the diapers and the ring, it is understandable, but the ring is the most misleading part. At least she could have said she wore it on that finger to prevent guys from hitting on her. It is also worth noting that the previous chapter did end in a to be continued so this all could have been planned with a bad marketing stunt as the intention by drumming up drama with it appearing that everything was ruined only for the big reveal and happy ending as the final chapter.
