I think the art in this story is really well done, and the style fits the graphic novel vibe of the games very well.
However, I think the main reason I always come back for more of your comics is the personality expressed in the dialogue, and it’s hard to achieve that with a non-sentient being such as this slime. This would have been 5/5 for me if the slime had been present as a second voice in her mind that’s actively heard corrupting her.
If there is a second part to this, I’d love to see her luring the other adventurers to their doom, that could be really fun. Or just leave it as a standalone and have the next Secret Cut be from a completely different universe - whatever it is, I know I’ll come back for it.

Hey,
thank you for the kind words and for the detailed feedback, I really appreciate it.

And honestly, I mostly agree with you. That idea did cross my mind, and it is something I really wanted to explore, but I struggled quite a bit with the Vestal’s internal monologue. Looking back at it now (the comic was released on SubscribeStar back in September), I also feel it ended up being a bit too descriptive. But that is how it goes, you get better by doing.

As for Secret Cuts 2, it is already available on SubscribeStar and takes place in the Frieren universe, so it is something completely different. There probably will not be a direct continuation of the Vestal’s story, but I am not closing the door on doing another comic set in the Darkest Dungeon universe someday.
