The plot would have worked better if it were just the two of them discussing this in a tavern. The guy then possesses the woman, he has her move his body back to his room, uses her to send the party somewhere outside of town, whores her out, then releases his possession. That way the party won't know anything is strange, he'll get revenge, and his body will be accounted for.
