wonder if we'll get an English translation straight from the author since it seems like this is a western author who got published in japan.

looking at the @dingleburied account reveals that the guy tried to make a story called King's Harem but never made a Chapter 2. instead, the author made a not-ankha doujin when that animal crossing cat parody blew up. guessing that learning japanese and getting published in a japanese magazine put those earlier stuff on hiatus.

somebody compared the guy to zonda, and the last upload made by the guy was in 2023 and was a machine-assisted translation of zonda's works.

it would be funny if the author originally had all the dialogue in English in this current work and then had to translate it into Japanese before submitting it to the magazine.

The process goes like this: I write the dialogue in japanese mostly just with what I've learned studying the language, using Google Translate wherever my knowledge fails me. Then my editor corrects the japanese as needed. Most pages tend to need something on it corrected.
As for whether this work receives an english translation... well, it's a matter of what offers we get. I'm still a newbie to the industry so I don't really know how translation licensing works. I imagine popularity plays a role in what gets offers for overseas licensing, and at the present this book isn't particularly popular. But it hasn't been that long since the book came out. So, to beat the drum again, please buy the book :)

Regarding my previous works:
I just lost interest in King's Harem, and the not!ankha thing was just something I did for fun. Funnily enough I was actually parodying the original minus8 animation and I only found out about the Zone animation because a friend of mine also thought I was parodying the Zone one while I was drawing it.
And yes, I saw those comments about the work feeling like Zonda's. I'm flattered, haha. I'm not a student of his or anything, just a fan. I wanted more stuff like Zonda's so I decided to make it myself. Still got a long way to go though, that guy's art is nuts. I even got to see the original pages for one of the chapters from his earlier books, and they're really crazy well drawn. Not something I could replicate even if I tried, so I go in a different direction with my art.

To be honest, i doubt that would be the case. Works that get FanTL get licensed anyways. Even if this was very popular it would be hard to say if it would get licensed anyways. there is pretty much only 2 active publishers that licenses stuff (in the west at least, said pubs being FAKKU and J18). FAKKU primarily does Wani stuff, then i would say KTC, then probs Mujin. J18 i think does Mostly Core Magazine and KTC stuff.

It would be pretty funny if an Author did drop a English version of their tank on here though. Truthfully speaking, i don't expect this to get licensed for at least 5+ years lol and that's assuming it would eventually get licensed. Anyways, congrats on the book release.

Whether or not the author putting out a free translation harms the chance or it getting an English license I’d be more concerned about if they’d harm their relationship with their publisher. They probably had to sign away some rights to their work when they signed their contract and releasing it online by themselves (even in a different language) probably isn’t allowed.

On to the actually book. I was surprised that Reina is blonde on the cover and it’s also disappointing that we only got two pages of pregnant sex. I was really hoping that the volume release was going to have bonus pregnant sex since only Kaoru got spotlighted in the magazine release, despite Reina clearly being the best followed by Ayane.

Page count was the limitation here. I wasn't going to do a sequel at all until it turned out we needed 20ish pages to fill the rest of the book out. Going over 200 pages total wasn't an option, sadly. I've planned the next book out from the start, so hopefully I won't be running into this problem again. I don't want to give false hope for more pregnant sex though. It's just not my thing, sorry!
The hair color on the cover was an editorial decision, I think to help separate the characters on the cover more clearly.

Wow, I didn't expect the author to actually lurk here. I heard he spent a lot of time playing Elden Ring Nightreign and was really bad at it :^)

JK you're alright but I do hope you would consider making one about one of the four very plappable ladies in that game (especially Revenant uoohhh)
