@FoolishlySageWise I agree that the first version of the game (360/PS3) was a massive downgrade in all aspects, but the definitive edition is a really good and better refined version that shows they learned their mistakes, we can't also overlook that DMCV took some of the mechanics of the reboot and use them in better ways, for much hate the game deserves, and it really deserves some because of the director and the disrespect they showed to the franchise, it's not a bad game and mastering of the mechanics is as satisfying as any game in the franchise, also if you think is a babie game, I took that you have beated in SSS gods must die right?

There is still no lock on, the story is a joke, the characters are god awful, and the music is painful to listen to. Let's nor forget having to switch between angel and demon weapons with the trigger buttons. Sure enemies can now be hit with a different color, but they won't stagger. DMC5 repurposed the Sin Devil Trigger for Dante from DMC2. The stuff the reboot might have added to DMC5 doesn't even compare. If I hate a game why would I want to play it on higher difficulties. You cannot polish a turd. Even DMC2 works better than the apology edition. Metal Gear Rising shits on this game and is still referenced such as in Zenless Zone Zero. This turd has been forgotten about for the most part except by losers.
