26 year old Wong Shi Ling was a few days away from her wedding and she looked forward to the day when she would get married to her sweetheart Nelson. That night, she was on the way to her car after having dinner with her bridesmaids.
Unfortunately (as usual for my female characters), Babu (a 45 year old delivery driver) spotted her and decided she was too lovely to let go. He knocked her out with a hard punch to Shi Ling's head (she would have temporary amnesia had she awakened but she never did) and then had his way with her in his car. However, that was not enough for his sick mind. He strangled the unconscious and violated Shi Ling to death and left her corpse in an abandoned warehouse nearby.
Nelson was devastated when her body was discovered the next day. Even as Shi Ling's body was examined by a pathologist, Nelson had already decided that their wedding would go on as planned. Shi Ling's family agreed to his plan for a 'Ghost Marriage' and all was set.
2 days after Shi Ling's death, Nelson brought her for a post-mortem bridal photoshoot at various places like the old colonial era building where he had proposed to her and their favorite beach.
On the day of their wedding 3 days after Shi Ling's death (her abdomen had swelled up slightly by then giving her a sexy pregnant look), Nelson helped dress Shi Ling in her bridal dress and he carried her to the family altar where he guided her limp corpse through the ceremony of praying to the ancestors and offering tea to their elders. He then brought her to their lunch reception where he symbolically fed her with some rice and food. They then posed for some bittersweet family photos.
Finally, Nelson gave a tearful and moving speech with his dead wife seated next to him. He thanked all their guests and also promised Shi Ling he would love her forever and never marry anyone else.
