Hiroyuki Nakano (中野博之)'s personal project, Pussy, situated itself as an erotic parody journal based on the actual the Japanese photography magazine Focus. Joined by Ryota Fujiike and Tetsuji Kanazaki, Pussy as an imprint lasted more issues, though which issues have currently not been uncovered. This work situates itself among the forbidden books era with a smarter lean in parodying a photo magazine. The art are photocopies of actual hand painted cels by Tetsuji. Its implied that these come from fan films of their time, though if they do, they don't appear to exist anymore.
Many artists increasingly adopted the aesthetics of glamour photography of the 'forbidden books' era - doujins that were based on vynil books (ビニ本, bini-bon). These publications were often sold sealed in polyethylene or OPP bags, preventing browsing prior to purchase and reinforcing their aura of exclusivity and taboo. Hiroyuki seems to have jumped on the opportunity to participate in such a craze to target Japanese 'photo fans' and SF fans via the literature.
