well to be fare, alot of those artists dont even provide clean works anyway, not a big fan of giga but always great to see giantess or miniguy stuff, i know the few artists i support at least have a paid tier for a few english releases so people looking for these artists should just check and pay, if your not continuos you can just pay once, check it out, then cancel subscription even with no refund its worth it even if its just one time and the little bit of money still goes towards said artist

@bigstew00 This artist provides English and clean versions with each of their releases, so the uploader is deliberately keeping them to themselves.
The english is quite rough, but I still appreciate the effort since they could just not care, especially now that it’s harder to subscribe to fantia.
Also, unlike other platforms, on fantia you only get the content for the month you paid for. You have to purchase past months separately.

A lot of these images seem low resolution. Are you sure you were opening the images in their full size before DLing them, or were you just grabbing and saving them off the Fantia gallery page?

News, news. According to the information on their most recent post, they will be abandoning the back issue system.
If google translate is playing ball, past posts will still need to be purchased individually, but future posts can now be viewed at any point in time as long as you are currently on a plan, same as fanbox.

There is nothing in that notice afaik that says that they will also remove the entry deadline (and I doubt they will), wouldn't just mean you can't get the previous content (past this point) unless it's sold as a product?
Then again, since they also started posting their content on xfolio (https://xfolio.jp/portfolio/tomoshib/shop/) a little less than ayear ago, it has been the best way to get content you missed so far, except for the rare cases where they would post twice in one month because they didn’t meet the deadline for the previous one.

Nice to see it complete. If only you had 200 more coins you could have fixed the Lien gallery, since all jpgs on patreon got damaged after February 2025s stealth update. I got everything up to March of this year.

@moodyclaus Damaged by compressing it without the creators knowing it. The damage is almost equal to exporting the jpg at 90%, and the file size is a third of the size sometimes. He started uploading on fanbox again at the end of 2025, so new files should not be a big problem. The damage started with 2025 01 30 345 and that one should originally be 3.99mb. pngs and zips not affected.

@Stig3ee From what you are describing it does not seem like that big of a deal, 90% jpg is still virtually unnoticeable. So it's more of an ocd thing (which I get, I would rather have the knowledge of having the original myself even if I can't tell the difference).

@moodyclaus I'm not sure what you mean by entry deadline, but I'm pretty sure I know a lot less about Fantia then you. Isn't it possible to purchase any of their past months as back issues already?
They replied to an anon commenter in the post announcing the removal of back issues clarifying what the future system will be, if that is where the confusion is. It seems clear to me that they want to make their fantia plan the same as most other support sites, just so they can move to different platforms without too much fuss.

@number79 I mean, I'm not an expert on fantia myself. Up until today, I thought the current system was the default and not something you could change.

By entry deadline, I mean setting a deadline to limit access to previous content like most people do on fantia.

I wasn't sure if it was possible to disable back numbers while still having entry deadlines or not, but regardless, from the comment you quoted, it does seem that they plan to make future content viewable anytime regardless of when you sub.

Oh, yeah I've already seen a few creators that disable back numbers on their works, making it about the same as fanbox. Although most of the people that disable the system are people writing novels, not illustrators. Or people that say they want to go on hiatus indefinitely, letting past works be viewable for free as a goodwill gesture. So it's definitely possible to change.
It may actually be possible to completely lock past posts from being viewable by new plan members (as I assume you meant by keeping entry deadlines), but I only have a faint recollection of seeing it on one account. It sounds pretty preposterous.
